Baidu and Nokia reach agreement on China mobile search

March 17, 2006 – 4:27 pm

Nokia and Baidu have reached an agreement on Chinese mobile search.

The application, which will include news search, image search as well as Baidu Post Bar, an online community developed by Baidu, will be available on the Nokia N70, Nokia N90 and other select Nokia devices. The pilot application is currently downloadable for certain devices in mainland China.

Baidu.com is a leading internet portal in China and Nokia is the world’s second largest seller of cell phones. This agreement has potentially far-reaching implications, so we plan on keeping an eye on further arrangements between these titans.
