Motorola versus Apple iPhone
March 22, 2006 – 7:28 amThe iPhone doesn’t exist yet, but people are already convinced it will be big competition for Motorola’s SLVR which can already hold an astounding 500 songs.
“We think Motorola’s PBL, SLVR and Q products, along with the RAZR, will boost 2nd half [2006] sales,” the analyst told investors.
Leon sees a new, more robust Motorola SLVR handset that can hold more than 500 songs as being the company’s answer to any such Apple iPhone.
The Apple iPhone (outsourced manufacturing of course) is planned for debut in the 4th quarter of 2006. It’s obvious Motorola has to be at least somewhat concerned with Apple’s seemingly Midas-touch on marketing, so they’re making the right moves and improving their products before the Apple iPhone hits market. This battle promises to heat up.
