Cingular Wireless Investing 225 Million in Philadelphia
April 11, 2006 – 6:46 amThere’s great news for Cingular Wireless Network users in the Philadelphia area.
Cingular is investing 225 million dollars to upgrade their network. This investment will provide better coverage and offer a wider range of services to customers based in Philadelphia, central and northeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
Cingular also has the mission of turning Philadelphia into a giant wireless network. They already provide wireless access to a number of places including the Philadelphia International Airport, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Penn State University, Villanova University, and South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey.
I think that Wi-fi Hotspots are the way of the future. People are accustomed to a mobile lifestyle, and want more of the freedom that wireless provides.
