The Cell Phone giant has just announced that they have acquired BenQ, A Research and Development Center based in Munich, Germany.

BenQ is a leading provider of wireless services and employs 7,000 people worldwide.
They offer a number of wireless phones to those with a “high lifestyle appeal”

The R&D Center is state of the art and is home to 250 engineers that will be absorbed by Motorola.

This seems like a strategic move by Motorola to increase their bottom line and extend their current consumer electronic offerings.
