It was announced today that Virgin Mobile will be offering more flexibility and pricing plans for their subscriber base.

Virgin differs from it’s competitors because they don’t require a long term contract in order to use their services. Virgin mobile doesn’t require credit or debit cards in order to use their services.

Pricing starts as low as $6.99 and .10 per minute airtime. Other plans being introduced:

  • $59.99 Option: 600 Anytime Minutes plus unlimited Primetime Minutes
  • $44.99 Option: 400 Anytime Minutes plus unlimited Primetime Minutes
  • $34.99 Option: 300 Anytime Minutes plus 1,000 Primetime Minutes
  • $24.99 Option: 200 Anytime Minutes
  • $14.99 Option: 100 Anytime Minutes
  • Primetime minutes are weekdays from 7:00 PM until 7:00 AM and all weekend long.

This new pricing initiative seems like a good idea. Making more options for the consumer and not requiring a long term contract is smart business.
