Cingular Wireless recently announced that they’ve added a new cell phone site in Broward County, Florida.

This new cell phone site is located near the Miami-Dade and Broward county line and will provide better coverage for Miramar Parkway, Flamingo Road, the Florida Turnpike, as well as residents in the area.
This is a part of a 370 million dollar investment in growing out Cingular’s network capacity.
“Quality and coverage are everything in our business,” said Rich Guidotti, vice-president and general manager for Cingular’s South Florida market. “It’s great to see the investments we’re making in our network are paying off for our customers.”
Cingular is also planning on rolling out their third generation (3G) network that’ll provide high speed broadband wireless internet. 3G is expected to provide 400-700 kilobits per second download times.
