Sprint and Nextel have launched their “Family Finder”, a new service that uses Global Positioning to keep tabs on up to 4 family members using cell phones.

Finding loved ones is just a few clicks away with this technology. Parents or guardians use the internet to “locate” their children, once “located” subscribers will be displayed a map with their physical location. The child will also receive a message that he or she has been “located”. Parents can send text messages directly to the child’s phone using their computer, letting them know of important news or just to say “I Love you” :)

This service costs $9.99 a month and seems worth it if you have a family on the go.
