Thumbplay announces Ringtone Charts

The music business has long been enthralled with popularity. Now Thumbplay is getting in on the act by releasing their own version of the Charts for ringtones. You can find out who the big winners are.

This week we see “Ne-Yo” on the top with their polyphonic smash “So Sick”.

Along with the top ringtones, Thumbplay will also release which handsets are downloading the most mobile content. In addition, each month the company will release themed charts with the most popular ringtones, wallpapers and games relating to pop-culture events that shape mobile sales.

Some people can’t stand those wacky ringtones, but to a whole generation of cell phone users, they’re art. You can expect Thumbplay to update the charts weekly.
