MobiTV is looking to get big on small video. They’re recently landed a $70 million investment to help spread their products to a larger market. They see a big future for mobile phone video, as more people have phones that are capable of displaying it.

MobiTV’s products already reach more than one million paying subscribers across the globe who can now watch top news, sports, entertainment and music videos on their mobile devices. The Company recently expanded its product line to deliver the MobiTV(R) service to
personal computers across WiFi and other broadband networks and announced the commercial availability of the MobiTV service in Latin America.

The product is simple to understand. The carriers sell the service to end users. MobiTV handles the rest. They aggregate content from a number of premium services, and then display ito consumers based on the package they select. The monthly fee varies, depending on the service level chosen. MobiTV has reached agreements with almost all major carriers to distribute both mobile tv and mobile radio.
