Cell phones are getting more expensive as times go on. Many of the more popular units are much like personal computers were a few years back. This added expense and complexity means you’ll likely end up needing to get your phone repaired at some point. We decided to take a look at cellular phone repair and how it applies to you.

Make sure you have a good manufacturer’s warranty on your cell phone. The first line of defense when it comes to fixing a broken cell phone is to have the manufacturer fix it. Read the details of your service contract carefully. You may have to pay for shipping, so add that to the cost of any repairs.

You may have purchased and extended warranty for your cell phone repairs. In this scenario, you most likely will send the phone into a pre-approved repair shop, depending on which model you own. The details of your extended warranty will be very clear, so make sure to keep a copy to learn what is and isn’t covered.

Internet cell phone repair centers are anothe source of cell phone repairs. You can find a multitude of repair shops online. I haven’t researched any of them, but you should have no problem finding examples of happy clients if they have any. Always research any purchase that you do online, and getting your cell phone fixed is no exception. Deal with companies that have excellent reputations and you should come out ahead.

Common sense will rule the day when it comes to determining whether to have your cell phone repaired or not. On some of the more expensive phones, it will certainly make sense. Needing replacements parts like antennas and batteries are a fact of life, but having major work done can get expensive.

We plan on covering each of these types of repairs in more detail in coming posts.

    3. I would contact the seller directly since he sold the phone. He should be able to assist you through E-Bay.
