BlueFire Security To Provide Support and Security for Motorola’s “Q” Smartphone
July 20, 2006 – 1:05 pmToday Bluefire Security announced that they’ll be providing security for Motorola’s Q Smartphone
Smartphones have more security concerns than a typical laptop or desktop computer, so this is where Bluefire steps in. They offer an array of products and services including VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, authentication, encryption and integrity monitoring for wireless networks.
This product is geared towards organizations and businesses that run wireless networks to keep in contact with mobile employees and uses encryption to send secure Email messages over unsecured networks.
“Organizations need to operate with the confidence that while a new generation of wireless devices like the Motorola Q allows employees to e-mail while sitting in an airport lounge or to access critical sales applications on the network while meeting with customers, those applications can be deployed in a secure environment that is part of the IT network infrastructure,” said Mark Komisky, Bluefire CEO.
As the world becomes more mobile every day, I can see how this will benefit anyone using it.
Motorola can offer a product with stable security measures, organizations and employees can communicate without having to worry about being on an “unsecure” network and Bluefire prospers with another business partner. Things are looking up in the wireless world!
