Nokia Ships First N Series Phone To Japan

Nokia announced today that they have shipped their first N71 phone to Vodaphone in Japan.

The N71 is a 3G cell phone that will be available in Japanese markets on August 12, 2006.

The N71 be used as a digital music player, an FM tuner, and has access to the mobile web for users to browse their favorite websites wherever they may be.

It has a 2.0 megapixel camera, an office documents viewer, e-mail client, and synchronization capabilities with compatible PCs.

Nokia has supplied a total of three 3G phones to the Japanese market, including the Nokia 6680 (Vodafone 702NK II) the Nokia 6630 (Vodafone 702NK) and the Nokia 6650 (V-NM701)

There is no word when these phones will be available in the United States.
