Verizon Extends Wireless Coverage in Queens, NY

Today Verizon Wireless announced that they have added a new cell site to service the Queens, New York area.

The addition of this new cell site will improve coverage and add network capacity to Springfield Gardens along Merrick Boulevard, Baisley Boulevard and Farmers Boulevard between 180th and 166th streets.

Verizon Wireless has spent nearly 2 billion dollars building their network in metro New York.
This is part of an overall network build across the United States that has cost 30 billion over the last 6 years. Their network in the New York area offers subscribers access to BroadbandAccess that broadband speed connections to internet enabled mobile devices.
