Cell Phones Outnumber Landlines in Ohio

The march of the cell phone goes on.

The Ohio Telecom Association has reported that the number of traditional style landline has been outnumbered by cell phone users.
The report also said that there has been a 20% decrease in Landline phones due to internet phones services and cell phone subscribers.
I’m sure that Ohio isn’t the only state that seeing significant decreases in landline usage.
Cell phones are more convenient than home phones and can go anywhere with you, more useful than a phone that’s tied to your home.
Have you given up your landline phone in favor of a cell phone or internet phone service?

Yep, here’s its overwhelminlgy more in favor of mobile lines versus fixed lines.

It isn’t surprising to me at all.
Companies like Verizon are bundling services that include FIOS internet service, FIOS cable, and wireless phones.
It’s easy to see how LANDLINES are losing their grip in people’s homes.

The trend has been going on for quite awhile. I don’t see it reversing any time soon.
