With more than 2 billion cell phone sets world wide, it is natural that everyday thousands of cell phones get stolen. In fact, stealing cell phone has become a multi million dollar industry. If you visit the website www.remotext.com then you can see about a new service that is going to be offered from 2 October. This service will help you to fight against the thieves. No, you will not get your phone back but you will be able to make your phone dead. Or in other words, the thieves will not be able to use the phone anymore even if they change your sim card. Computer Active reported:

The remoteXT service, blocks the phone, regardless of which network it is on, totally wiping all the information contained on it including text messages, contacts, ringtones and other downloads.

As phones become increasingly sophisticated, the developers of this service say it will also safeguard information such as email and other data used by mobile workers.

However the service does not come cheap starting at £11 a month but the developers of the service are running a webchat on Monday to look at the issue of mobile phone theft.

Well, £11 is not a matter of joke and not too many people will be interested to subscribe this service. However, if you are important person and are worried about the data you have in your mobile phone set then this is the best service for you. You can remotely delete all your information in your cell phone set after it gets stolen.

What about you? Are you willing to pay this money?
