Today Cingular announced that they have added 3G High Speed Wireless in Nashville, Tennessee. The addition of this network will allow residents, businesses and visitors alike to access the internet without using wires in the area. The network provides coverage to Leiper’s Fork, Eagleville and Murfreesboro; east to Lebanon; north almost to the Kentucky line; and west to Fairview and Kingston Springs is now a Wi-Fi hotspot.

“In today’s fast-paced society, people are always on the go and have the need for quick access to information,” said Jim Thorpe, vice president and general manager for Cingular’s Tennessee/Kentucky market. “Our 3G service gives them the ability to watch Titans highlights on their phones while waiting in line to see a show at the Ryman or grab a seat at a
restaurant, or to quickly download a presentation as they enter a meeting. We’re providing customers with an ‘invisible wire’ that extends their broadband experience beyond their office or home.”

Subscribers can now download video, send and receive text and other types of SMS messages, get access to the hottest ringtones and more. To find out more about getting access to Cingular’s 3G network, please visit Cingular.com.
