Cingular Adds Cell Phone Site To Service Volusia And Seminole Counties In Florida

Cingular just announced that they have added another cell phone site in Florida. The addition of this cell phone site will provide better coverage and network capacity in Volusia and Seminole counties.

The new site is located on the border of both counties and connects coverage between State Highway 46 between the towns of Geneva and Mims. Cingular plans to build a totla of 16 new cell sites in the Sunshine state before years end.

Cingular has spent over $340 million dollars upgrading and extending wireless services in Florida
adding 3G networking capabilities that provides high speed wireless interent access with an average connection speed of 400-700 KBPS.
