LG Prada Phone Wins “Best Of The Best” Design Award

LG has been making a lot of inroads into the mobile phone business in the last few years. They’re selling phones like hotcakes, especially in the red-hot Asian sector. For what reason do they have to be so successful? Like any mobile phone manufacturer these days, they’ve had to produce phones that are feature-rich, and well-designed. Well, they must be getting the design part down, because their popular Prada series just one the Reddot Design Award for 2007.

LGE received awards in 29 categories including the “Best of the Best” award for its Prada Phone by LGE. The phone’s full touch screen handset had already created a worldwide buzz. Its accolades eclipsed its total of 20 awards received at last year’s event, when it also won two “Best of the Best” awards.

Commenting on this achievement, General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch, Mr. Kevin Cha said, “We at LGE have proven our design expertise through recognition from this prestigious design organization. With this momentum, we will solidify our commitment to innovative product design.”

Other award-winning products from LGE include the Shine phone, both slide and bar types, steady-selling SolarDOM, Lightwave Oven, ‘Art DIOS’ side-by-side Refrigerator, two dishwashing machine models, LCD TV, Plasma TV, all three models of Fantasy Monitor, the T1 notebook, Touch Screen MP3 Player, in addition to several models of DVD players, and others.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony on June 26th, 2007 in Essen Germany. This is a clear sign that LG has been taking the time and effort necessary to win the hearts and minds of today’s consumers.
