The mobile phone has done a lot of evolution since its early days. Cell phones used to be the size (and weight) of a brick, had very limited calling areas and did one basic duty, it made phone calls.

Today’s mobile phones are nothing like those of yesteryear. Cell users can browse the internet, use it as a camera/videocamera, send TXT messages and have the ability to call just about anywhere, along with a billion other different features. Now they can even be used to find a new love interest!
New mobile dating services are putting a spin on an age old dilemma, finding companionship and love. Several websites are already catering to this new way of finding a love match. Match.com is currently working on a mobile version that allows members to search profiles from their phone. There are plans to add advanced features such as GPS to their mobile dating suite
in the future.
Another mobile dating service, MeetMoi asks users for their ZIP CODE to find matches in their area. When a “match” is made, the service will send the profile and gives the user the chance to message back and forth to see if they are compatible. MeetMoi can be updated if you change locations allowing for a “real date” opportunity. For those concerned with security, only one user profile can be associated with a mobile phone number, so no one can have multiple
handles. Users are automatically logged out of a location in 2 hours.
Other mobile dating services include Love, Zogo and Fast Flirting. Accessibility on these services depends on wireless carrier. Pricing varies from free to around $9.99 for a monthly
subscription.
