AeonSafe Provides Secure Wireless Connections For The iPhone

July 17, 2007 – 6:58 am

AeonSafe just announced that they’ve extended “secure” wireless connections at their wi-fi hotspots. This allows mobile phone users that are browsing the web or making phones calls to have a secure wireless connection that can’t be intercepted by others.

In the first week they provided the service, 600 people accessed the encrypted network in Silicon Valley. Other wi-fi providers in the area such as T-Mobile and AT&T do not offer secure connections in their public access spots.

AeonSafe provides a security key that provides SSL to help prevent ID and information theft.

“AeON provides an elegant solution to a nagging problem for Wi-Fi users
in public places,” says William Bellou, publisher of Times Media group of
community newspapers in San Jose. “Many of our newspaper clients have
installed the network at their venues and are reporting increased revenue
from new and existing customers.
