People have been accused of not having a good memory because today’s technical gadgets keep all of peoples contact information on speed dial or on easy to access contact lists, so what happens if a mobile phone gets lost, stolen or just breaks? All of that pertinent information is lost and re-entering all of it on a new or replacement phone could take hours or days for some people.
To solve this problem, AT&T recently announced that are offering AT&T Mobile Backup, a service that allows customers to store and back up their phone information as often as they like, whether it be once a day or once a week.
This service is currently compatible with the Motorola RAZR V3xx, RAZR V3i, RAZR V3r, V365, SLVR L7 and KRZR K1. More makes and models will be added to the lineup.
Subscribers will be able to manage their information remotely, and in the event that a phone is lost or stolen they can securely manage and delete contacts at Mobile Backup AT&T. You can also import contact information from Outlook Express, Yahoo! and AOL.
This service costs $1.99 monthly and is a pretty low cost “insurance policy” for all of your precious contact information.
Just to make things easier, you can get access to this service by texting MBU or 386 on your supported mobile phone.
