Verizon recently announced that they’ve added a new way for people to keep in touch via their computer and their Verizon network phones. The new service, called vText allows friends, family and co-workers to use their computers Email program to seamlessly deliver a quick TXT message.

vText allows up to 160 characters and is simple to do. All the sender has to do is enter the persons mobile number followed by @vtext.com in the “to” field and the message is sent just like any other TXT message or Email.

Nifty way to keep in touch, if I must say so myself.
