The use of mobile phones when driving is becoming increasing illegal throughout the United States and several states that have implemented bans while using a handheld while driving a car have also put laws into place for school bus drivers.

The following states prohibit school bus drivers from driving and dialing:
Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Texas.

Many other states and school districts have stipulations that school bus drivers aren’t permitted to use a mobile phone while driving, but formal laws haven’t been established to enforce them statewide.

I think that this is a good practice to help protect other drivers and the precious passengers that they are transporting. What say you?
