Verizon Wireless Extending Coverage In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

September 12, 2007 – 5:16 pm

Verizon Wireless recently announced that they’ve added additional wireless coverage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a new cell site.

This cell site will provide better coverage and capacity along the intersections of Knights Road with Plum Avenue and Chalfont Drive, as well as the intersections of Route 63 with Millbrook and Academy Roads.

Verizon Wireless has spent $120 million to enhance services and coverage throughout southeastern, central and northeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware so far in 2007, bringing the network investment in the region to more than $1 billion since 2000.

This cell site will help provide clearer calls and high speed access to wireless subscribers in this area, so they can enjoy faster downloads, video on demand and other V-Cast services.
