Duckwall-ALCO stores recently announced that they’ve joined in the move to provide safe recycling for used cell phones and mobile phone batteries. The retail chain has locations in 21 states in the United States.

“We are absolutely committed to doing our share for the environment,” said Bruce Dale, president and chief executive officer of Duckwall-ALCO Stores. “We know that participating in Call2Recycle is the right thing to do. It is just one element of a much bigger environmental initiative we are putting into place in our stores.”

There are several other outlets that provide cell phone recycling, including Eco-Cell,
or by donating an old cell phone to a soldier. Don’t just toss that cell phone into the trash or into a drawer when it can be recycled safely!
