Verizon Wireless Offers MCards - Mobile Greetings For Cell Phones
October 11, 2007 – 4:41 pmIt used to be when you wanted to send a “greeting card” to someone, you went to a shop selected a card, addressed the envelope and dropped it at the post office.
Verizon Wireless has made sending a greeting card a lot more efficient by introducing MCards -Mobile greetings that are available to Verizon subscribers that have Mobile web 2.0 access.
With MCARDS!, customers can select from a number of categories including: Cute Animals, Love Hearts, Flirty, Romantic, Miss You, I’m Feeling…, Disses, For Laughs, Happy Birthday, Sorry, Thanks and Congrats, Good Luck and Get Well, and more. Verizon Wireless customers can find MCARDS! in the Connect category in Mobile Web 2.0. New MCARDS! are updated in the New Arrivals category. Plus, customers have the option of making their own cards or sending a special message through the Love Meter that will see if the customer is compatible with his or her partner.
MCARDS! cost 99 cents per download and is delivered as picture messages to Verizon Wireless phones. Once a MCARDS! has been downloaded, customers can re-send the card unlimited times at no additional charge.
Mobile Web 2.0 is available for $5.00 monthly access, plus airtime. Customers who sign up for a $15 V CAST VPak monthly subscription get access to Mobile Web 2.0, plus unlimited airtime for Verizon Wireless’ V CAST service, ESPN MVP, Get It Now® and Mobile Web 2.0 services.
