Lifetime recently announced that they are adding a mobile portal to their website so that Lifetime fanatics can access a myriad of content via their cell phones and other handheld devices.

They have selected July Systems to help deploy the application.

Lifetime’s mobile portal will be designed to offer users a rich multimedia experience with compelling features such as interactive games, polls and blogs, lifestyle content, the latest show news and TV schedules, daily horoscopes, and photo galleries. Users will also be able to sign Lifetime’s important breast cancer awareness petition as well as enter
sweepstakes via their mobile phone.

“The Lifetime mobile portal will give users a personalized new way to interact and build out our community around the Lifetime brand. Consumers will be able to stay in touch with their favorite shows and topics anytime and anywhere,” said Kimberly Dobson, Vice President Business Development, Lifetime Networks. “We selected July to power this initiative as their
solution allowed us to provide an integrated brand experience to our users while allowing us to extend our advertising relationships from our TV and online properties to mobile.”

The mobile portal is expected to be available to subscribers of all major North American operators including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile among others. No official word on when the mobile portal will be available, but we’ll keep you posted when it becomes available.
