Help US Soldiers Call Home For The Holidays
December 3, 2007 – 7:26 amDo you have an old, unused cell phone laying around the house somewhere? Did you know that your mobile phone could help deployed United States soldiers call home for the holidays?
Cell Phones For Soldiers is an organization that is recycling cell phones to provide calling cards to our service men and women stationed abroad.
The donated phones are sent to Michigan based ReCellular that pays up to $50 dollars per mobile phone. This buys 25 hours of airtime on calling cards that soldiers can use to contact friends, family and loved ones back home over the holidays.
If you’d like to participate, you can donate your cell phones by downloading a prepaid shipping label from their website. They also provide information on locations in your area that are accepting used phones.
Don’t be a Scrooge! Donate your old mobile phone for a great cause today.
