It comes as no surprise that many companies are developing mobile applications to bring cell phone users together. CellWare recently announced that they are in beta testing of their own social network.

Cellware.com is the first mobile social networking site to offer a complete selection of free mobile content, including ringtones, wallpaper, videos, games and applications,
for all types of mobile phones. Created by Advertising.com’s co-founder, John Ferber, Cellware combines a robust social network along with the ability to explore, create, and share great mobile content by users. Cellware (now in beta preview) will be a major content resource for those who want to truly realize the entertainment potential of today’s mobile phones and portable devices. Cellware is working with major content producers to deliver users a wide spectrum of content from new & underground music to extreme sports and movie trailers to animation and mainstream TV content. Initial content partners include: Alliance, Arphiola, Norstar Media, NO GOOD TV, Go Music Network, Oddcast, Selectracks, SoundIdeas, 4info, and Hanaho Games.
