AT&T recently announced that they have deployed a new cell site in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The addition of this new cell site will help to improve coverage and capacity in the region.

“We want to provide the best service possible for all of our customers in Greensboro, which we consider a strategic market in the Carolinas,” said Alison Hall, vice president and general manager for AT&T’s North and South Carolina market. “These new cell sites, along with our 3G expansion, help to provide superior coverage to give customers an ‘invisible wire’ that extends their broadband experience beyond their office or home.”

Currently, AT&T is adding additional cell sites to strengthen in-building and residential coverage in the following areas:

— I-85 bypass at Pleasant Garden Road
— Joseph Bryan Boulevard and New Garden Road at Brassfield Shopping
Center
— I-40, near Patterson Road, west of Holden Road
— Highway 29 and Market Street, near Bingham Park
— Highway 29, northeast of Greensboro
— Northern Greensboro, at North Church Street and Archergate Road

Look for these upgrades and improvements coming to Greensboro and the surrounding areas soon.
