The Nokia 5000 is a handset designed for emerging markets. In emerging markets, people don’t have high levels of disposable income to purchase cell phones. But they want the product, and features, just like anyone. The solution is low cost phones like the Nokia 5000. It has a very low price, but basic email and phone functions so you get some great used out of the device.

The Nokia 5000 comes with Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity.

The Nokia 5000 is expected to ship at a price of 90 EUR in the second quarter of 2008.

All in all, the phones offer some decent features for relatively affordable prices.
