Amazon Kindle For iPhone Available

A new Amazon Kindle app for iPhone is now available. The application is free, but normal Kindle download charges of $9.99 per e-book will apply. The Amazon Kindle e-book reader now claims a selection of 240,000 books.

Whispersync is also enabled so you can start reading on the Kindle, switch to the iPhone, and basically go back and forth without losing your place. Books you’ve already purchased for the Kindle, of course, can be placed on the iPhone or iPod touch as well.

The age of Kindle has now been extended to the iPhone.
