Virgin Mobile recently announced that they’ve added another mobile handset to their lineup of available “no contract” cell phones.

The Flare is made by LG Electronics and is the first phone at Virgin Mobile to offer Spanish speaking customers in-language options. The Flare is Bluetooth enabled, supports TXT and ringtones. It has lots of room for keeping track of all your contacts – with room for 500 with up to five phone numbers, three email addresses and one Web site for each name.

The phone is now available for $29.99 (not including airtime) at Virgin Mobile Stores and online.

The mobile phone features a 5.1 Megapixel camera.

This new phone is designed to cater to people that were looking for ease of sending, sharing and viewing pictures and video. It also features a “hotkey” to upload videos to the popular video sharing website, Youtube.com. It also features a touch screen.

The Viewty is expected to be priced at between 400-600 Euros ($550.00 -$820.00 US.)

No word on when the Viewty will be available in other markets, but it sure looks sharp!

Their newest release is the LG Shine KE970, which is a slider-phone known for its’ sleek styling and decent feature-set. The release happened in Kota Kinabalu, and the company plans on shipping units immediatedly.

Kim said LG Shine has sold 180,000 units since November 2006.

He said in Europe 200,000 units were sold within the first month of its launching, an average of 3,500 units sold a day.

He said LG was targeting sales of 78 million of LG’s handphone globally including more than 13.5 million GSM units in Asia, the Middle East and Africa in 2007.

Kim added that LG Shine were available at all LG Mobile authorised dealers.

Demand in Malaysia is expected to stay strong.
