Nokia 6102i Mobile Email and Messaging Mobile Phone
July 29, 2006 – 9:33 amMessaging phones are all the rage these days. It’s a low key way to “chat” with your friends without arousing the attention of your boss or other co-workers, and a way to pass the time if you’re waiting for a plane, a train or an automobile.

The Nokia 6102i is a messaging machine. It has Express Audio Messaging that records your voice and send it as a message. You can send and receive multimedia messages that include audio, video or text messages from other compatible devices.
This phone features SMS text messaging, picture messaging, Instant Messaging and Email via SMS. The 6102i can access your work and private email accounts; and supports SMTP, POP3, and IMAP4 protocols.
It has an integrated VGA camera that has multiple modes to take the best pictures no matter what the setting is. 3 Preprogrammed settings include Standard, portrait, and night mode. It has a gallery for you to store and edit your pictures. An integrated video player/recorder is another multimedia bonus.
It’s compatible with GPRS, EDGE and HSCSD networks for seamless connectivity. It is Bluetooth enabled and uses infrared and USB technology. It has an internal and external display and iff this isn’t enough, there’s more:
You can use it as an FM tuner (headphones required, not included) download MP3, True Tones and polyphonic ringtones, wallpapers, games and a ton of other entertainment.
It’s hard to believe that all of this is packed into a mobile phone that costs under $100.00, maybe even under $30.00 with discounts and rebates. The 6102i is serviced by Cingular and purchase price doesn’t include airtime or service plan.
