Nokia has been having some troubles with batteries lately. The latest word is the recall of 46 million batteries that overheat and might “pop out” of the phone.

In a product advisory, Nokia officially states that, “in very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge.”

Nokia said no serious injuries had been reported (maybe just a couple of bruised noses…) and that there’s no risk of fire. Nokia planned to replace the “BL-5C” battery at no charge.

Nokia has setup a special website to handle the recall. Please visit: Battery Replacement at Nokia.
