Nokia Secures 43 Million Expansion With China Mobile Group ZheJiang

Today Nokia announced that they’ve secured a 43 million dollar contract with China Mobile Group ZheJiang. This expansion will further enhance operational efficiency and provide GSM coverage in the Zhejiang province.

We are confident that Nokia’s unique end-to-end solutions and professional services will enable ZheJiang to have a GSM network that meets the increasing need for coverage and capacity in the province and will be able to bear the traffic peak also during the festival season,” says James Lin, Vice President, Networks, Nokia China. “We are pleased to support ZheJiang to reduce operating expenditure and offer their customers more reliable service due to our unique online database backup feature.”

Under the contract Nokia will provide radio and core network, including network planning, implementation, and integration services. Nokia has already began delivering these services.
