Samsung SCH-V920: Forbes Says Today Chosun says Tomorrow

Samsung is introducing SCH-V920 model cell phone set within a few hours. On the other hand, I am not sure if this phone set has already been launched.

Forbes.com wrote:

Samsung Electronics said it has launched a ‘Real World Phone’ mobile handset designed to work nearly everywhere in the world.

On the other hand, Chosun.com stated:

Samsung and SK Telecom said the World Phone or SCH-V920 will be launched on Wednesday.

Tomorrow is Wednesday. So, you see, media reports can become sometimes confusing.

Anyway, here are 9 interesting things about this phone.

1. According to Samsung officials, SCH-V920 is the first truly world phone because it will work in more than 90 countries.
2. SCH-V920 will support GSM, CDMA and JCDMA (Japan) networks.
3. Samsung and SK Telecom are promoting it.
4. This set “will also enable users in GSM countries to transmit text messages and use caller ID services.”
5. SCH-V920 will have 1.3 megapixel digital camera and MP3 player.
6. Bluetooth technology and NATE Drive service are added attractions.
7. High-tech wireless service for drivers will make many users satisfied.
8. Grey, red, silver and white: these are the four colors to choose from. I think I would go for silver.
9. The price will be in the range of W500,000 and 600,000 (1 usd = 959 won).
