When it comes to our needs, we always want to get the best of everything. This is true also when it comes to our cell phone. Almost everyone has a cell phone because you can do so many things with it. From short messaging, receiving and making a call, to taking pictures and video, to playing music, to sending and receiving emails – the functions of modern cell phones truly have evolved. In many parts of the globe, a cell phone is a necessity because of the need for communication and even entertainment.

Some people might think that if you don’t have a cell phone, you are either living under a rock or you’re simply not in.

There are millions of cell phone users worldwide and because of this different network carriers are on a battlefield to win the subscriptions of many users. Different cellular networks have introduced new features that enable users to simply do more. There are now software application extensions, internet surfing, push button functions, music synchronization and many others.

Aside from additional features, some companies that offer cellular services also provide discounts and subscription promotions. Among these perks and bonuses, you’ll still need to find a viable wireless plan. Finding the right wireless plans for a particular group of user may be difficult. This is true especially since the mobile phone industry offers hundreds of different plans to choose from. One of the reasons is that while they seem to help the masses, most of these plans actually have hidden costs and instead of minimizing the expenses, they actually add burden to the consumers.

How can you find the best cell phone plans? When choosing the best plans, you have to filter out the available options first. If you have an existing plan, analyze if you are making the most out of that plan. If there are additional charges made, find out the reason why you regularly exceed the plan that you are paying for. If they reasoned out that it is an excessive call, then you must upgrade your plan. Consequently, downgrade it if you are using the monthly phone service that has more options than you actually need. If you are considering a prepaid plan, carefully estimate what services and how often you’ll be calling.

Before choosing a wireless plan, these are some factors that you have to consider before signing a service agreement: roaming services, peak time, in-network calls, and off-peak time. To assure that you don’t get a cell phone bill the size of Mount Helen, assess when and where you make your cell phone calls. Do you make most of your calls in the evening or on the weekends? Many cellular carriers offer free nights and weekends, which means that calls made during these times won’t count against the minutes offered in your calling plan. Do you find yourself out of network often? Roaming charges can quickly add up, so you’ll need to make sure that you don’t have to hand over your first born to pay for these services.

It’s advised to check providers that offer additional off-peak times since it can help you save money. Some wireless carriers offer unlimited services to those that use the same network. For instance, Verizon Wireless offers unlimited “in-calling” to subscribers. This means that you can make unlimited calls to other Verizon Wireless subscribers for no additional fees. Family calling plans is another top pick, since it outfits your entire family with handsets and a calling plan. When using family calling plans, the calls are subtracted from the family’s free air time, allowing the family to save more money.

When choosing your phone plans, it’s important to communicate what you’re looking for in a phone. Do you need to access the internet? Do you text message a lot? If you know what you’re looking for in a calling plan, a sales representative can better assist you in finding the best cell phone plan for you.

There’s little doubt Japanese consumers love their cell phones. They use their phones for almost everything. Now Japanese cell phone fans can purchase a cell phone with a 3D display.

The Hitachi Ltd.’s Wooo H001 cell phone, which went on sale last month in Japan for 50,000 yen ($510), has a tiny button that says “3D” below the keyboard. Push it, and the screen’s image will appear three-dimensional, seeming to protrude slightly from the 3.1-inch liquid crystal display.

The phone uses a trick to deceive the eye into thinking an image is in 3D.

The phone is strictly a novelty. Users who stare at the image for two long end up with tired eyes. But for some quick “cool points” this phone is bound to impress some.

The phone will not be sold outside of Japan.

Florida Senator Carey Baker is expected to introduce new bills that limit and bans the use of a mobile phone while driving a car in the Sunshine State.

The bill calls for two new measures. One measure prohibits drivers 18 and over from sending or reading text messages when behind the wheel of a car. The other would ban the use of cell phones altogether for drivers under the age of 18.

Baker has supported other legislation that banned the use of cell phones while driving, but so far none of them have passed.
